How to Perform a Cell Phone Reverse Look up Search From Your Computer

Using a cell phone turn stare up service is the better route to use when you are searching for sensible information with respect to a cell phone number owner, including their name and address.  You  may think it is possible to do a search on a cell phone number and obtain this kind of information; however, cell phone numbers are not listed in public directories.

Mobile phones are much more personal and the information surrounding them is more protected, just like a social security number, because no one wants this information to get into the wrong hands.

Many people that experience stalking or prank calls on their cell phone have become victims because their mobile numbers got into the hands of the wrong person.  In order to prevent a scenario such as this, many mobile phone companion ensure that all numbers are kept safely in their databases alone.

If a person needs more information, they will need to look into using a cell phone reverse look up service or hire a private detective.  Both options will provide you with the information you need; however, one is quick and inexpensive, while the other can take a great deal of time and will cost you a lot more money.

A private detective will charge you a hourly range and can take a full day or two to locate the information you need.  An online cell call reverse look up company will cost you around .00 annually and you can search as many numbers as you like within a year.  Each time you conduct such a search, you will be guaranteed results, including a name and address of the owner of a mobile phone number.

The single advantage that a private detective has over looking up a cell number with a cell phone reverse look up service is that a private detective may also find some information for you (“dirt”) on the owner of the cell phone, such as what they do for work, what kind of car they drive, where they spend their evenings, etc., which you may find quite useless, except of course, in the case where this person is prank calling you.

If you require no more information other than a name and an address, then it is best to use an online cell phone reverse look up serve.  If you require more extensive information, you can hire a good private investigator.

Cell phone reverse look up services are legal, so you have nothing to fear with respect to using any of the information obtained in this legal manner.

NumberInvestigator.com Cautions Citizens of a Scam Involving Phony Locksmiths

NumberInvestigator.com Cautions Citizens of a Scam Involving Phony Locksmiths

Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) August 10, 2011

NumberInvestigator.com, a leading online reverse phone directory, urges consumers to be on the lookout for a scam as criminals posing as locksmiths. According to a recent report from NPR, difficult economic times have given rise to a new scam that preys on unfortunate consumers who find themselves in the vulnerable situation of being locked out of their residence or car.

Here’s how the scam works; consumers needing locksmith services will search for locksmiths in their area, usually via smartphone, computer or phonebook. Often they will find several locksmiths nearby; unfortunately, few of those listings are legitimate. When called, a locksmith imposter is dispatched to the location. Often times, a reasonable cost estimate is given at the consumer’s request over the phone, but once there the con man’s estimate is subject to additional fees and services are added to the total that were not disclosed in the initial estimate. In some cases the untrained fraudster damages the customer’s property to the extent it is unusable and needs to be replaced at the owner’s expense.

In the article from NPR, a retired teacher who owns rental property in Alexandria, Va., says her tenants were told a service call would cost $ 185, but the bill came to $ 586.

One of the largest offenders that has been identified by the BBB, poses as a local locksmith in cities across the United States, advertising in the Yellow Pages using local phone numbers and phony local addresses. Consumers are led to believe that they are contacting a local locksmith, when in fact their call is being routed to a call center located in New York City.

NumberInvestigator.com offers the following tips to avoid becoming a victim of a locksmith scam:
Be extremely suspicious if a locksmith is driving an unmarked vehicle.

Ask about accepted forms of payment. Do not hire a locksmith that only accepts cash.     Before contacting a locksmith observing out Yelp.com for locksmith reexamine, as well as Better Business Bureau to see if there are any complaints against service providers under consideration.     Using NumberInvestigator.com, look up the number, business name, and ask associated with potential locksmiths for additional information.
