How can I stop these people from calling? ?

Andrea asked:

This is complex… There is someone calling my house and my fiance’s cell phone asking if we want to buy extended warranties on our vehicles. Its random and they dont ask for a name when calling. When we asked to be removed they hang up and call later.
The house number is unlisted through verizon, but the number itself used to be through ATT (we kept getting the last guys bill collectors calling, its still listed in the reverse lookup with his name) We are on the DONOTCALL list.

The cell phone is under his parents business and seems to be unrelated.

Anyone else having this problem? And who can I report them to? They refuse to give a business name.
503-356-6913 The number is listed as a person on the reverse phone lookup but when i call it back it says its disconnected.
I removed it from the reverse lookup on ATTs AnyWho….
I removed it from the reverse lookup on ATTs AnyWho….
One of the numbers is a cell phone… thats what I dont understand…. and my fiance was nice the first time… after that hes been yelling at them… Im not sure why they dont get the picture.
Its the same with the “Proposition” automated calls… Vote Yes on Prop whatever… the last guy that had this number signed up for these… how can I remove myself from the politics lists?

Reverse Cell Phone Number Searches – Get Answers Now!

Daniel Jenkins asked:

Due to advancements in technology, reverse cell phone number searches can be performed by individuals in the comfort of their own home. Not only does this save you from expensive professional fees but also it also stops you from having to hire an investigator which could be embarrassing … especially if you have to explain that you think your partner is having an affair and that’s why you need details on the person who owns the cell phone number.

One of the easiest and most reliable ways to do reverse cell phone number searches is to use a reverse cell phone directory. If you haven’t tried this then you are in for a shock at how much information you can find and how fast.

The problem is most people start of their search looking for a free service. There are some out there that claim to be free but really they use clever advertising to lure you in. Most “free” reverse services mean that you can perform a free lookup to see if they have the number and then they hope that when you see they have information of the number you’ll happily pay even though they sneakily claimed it was free.

I would stay away from services that word advertisements to trick you. If a company has to do that to get customers then what else are they up to.

The best method that will save you time and frustration in the long run is to use a proven reverse cell phone number search service that has established itself as a reputable company. These services charge a small fee but it is worth it to know you are getting fast accurate information. They also offer different packages to suit your needs, from a charge per lookup to a package where you can perform as many lookups as you want for a whole year for a one off fee.

Legality Of Reverse Phone Searches

Terry Taggert asked:

These days, one of the main concerns we face is regarding personal privacy, especially when it comes to our personal information on the internet. The thought that anybody can find out a great deal about us can be rather disconcerting and certainly isn’t very appealing. After all, we already know that our phone calls are monitored, our bank accounts are checked on, and the government has access to just about everything we have in our lives, so it isn’t very comforting to think that a stranger from anywhere in the world might also be able to find out where we live and how to contact us – even without our approval.

It’s not that we have anything to hide, but it is a matter of our own rights to keep private information private. So where is the line drawn? What laws are in place to protect our information from being spread to just about anyone? Are services such as reverse phone searches truly legal?

Indeed, there are black market information sharing sites online, but in the case of reverse phone searches, they are completely legit. This is because they are not any different than any other telephone directory that has ever existed. They are no more threatening than any other lookup service, such as a phone book, that has ever been in existence.

However, it is understandable that because the search is performed on the internet, and because it can be performed both forward and backward, it does feel a bit more threatening. This is likely because the internet is an extremely anonymous medium, and it can be used by anybody around the world.

Keep in mind, though, that reverse phone searches aren’t simply random. They require the searcher to already have your telephone number in order for them to work. They don’t simply hand out all of your information. In fact, a forward phone search would technically be an easier way for someone who doesn’t know you to find your information than a reverse phone lookup because they can simply look up everyone with your last name and collect telephone numbers and addresses that are associated with that name.

Reverse phone searches are nothing to be afraid of. In fact, you may find that you can better protect your own personal security with that tool on your side, as you will always be able to find out who has been calling you.

If you just seen something on craigslist?

Lynne M asked:

If you suspect something on craigslist is your stolen property, what would you do on a sunday?

1. Nothing and wait until Monday to talk to the police with the PostingID
2. Call them and question them? From a non-tracable phone.
3. E-mail them and ask for a couple details, Perhaps gaining more evidence.

Any other ideas? P.S. Reverse phone lookup reveal a cell phone with no name or details

Cell Phone Reverse Lookup – Trace a Mobile Number and Get Details of Unknown Callers

John L. Stevens asked:

Not all reverse lookup website have what it takes to provide details of people who use cell phone numbers to communicate. As a matter of fact, one of the many reasons people stopped looking in the direction of the public records is because of incomplete and outdated information. People are hungrily looking for information and at the right cost. To do a cell phone reverse search does not really take a long process. All you need is an incisive analysis of how to go about it.

Tracking down unknown cell callers is a big challenge to a lot of people. This is one reason fraudsters continue to get away with what they do. Thank God for the reverse cell phone lookup service; a service that has revolutionized the telephone number search sector. Before the advent of this service, there exists some kind of legal limitations. Public telephone records could not go beyond the scope of providing information for land-line users.

Tracing someone with this revolutionary service is almost perfect and gives you the assurance that you are going to get to the root of your search in no time. The most important tool you need is not something you have to pay for, nor is it something you have to struggle to get. The most important tool is the mobile number of the unknown caller.

Once you get to the web page of the phone search company, you will find a search box where you can type in the mobile number. The results that follow will reveal basic facts like: maps showing the city and street of the caller; his birth records; criminal records; his kind of social group; religious and other social affiliations among other useful details. From the above information gathered, you can trace any caller right from the comfort of your living room at very little cost.

Using Cell Phone Reverse Listings

Mike D Tucker asked:

Cell Phone Reverse Listings can be used to search out and find the owner of any cell phone number. If you’re getting unknown or prank phone calls and need to find out who has been calling you a reverse phone search is what you need.

All you need to use a directory service is a phone number with area code. You will then be able to look up any number in the country, including cell, landlines, pay, business and residential and even unlisted numbers. You will receive the persons name, address, billing address, carrier, and depending on the service you use you may be able to use the advanced search and find out the juicy details. Like criminal and court records, school and job history, marriage and divorce records, financial history, school and even what kind of car the have a loan on.

Want to find out who your husband or boyfriend has been calling on their cell phone? Reverse search their latest calls. See how honest they are. Of course this works for guys too. At one time we were getting prank calls and hang ups in the middle of the night. The person would call and not say anything. I got their number from my caller ID and called them back. Got their voice mail, no surprise there. Or they would answer and not say anything.

This went on for a few days until I had enough. I joined a search service and ran their number. I researched out their info and printed it out. Next time they called I called them back and said something like, is this John Adams at 3344 west 1st street? The one that works for the water department? Hey, how is your new Toyota running? I would have loved to see the look on his face. Turns out it was my girlfriends ex boyfriend.

The calls stopped immediately. I did mention if they did not I would report him to the police for phone harassment. This will also work for exposing telemarketers. Ever get repeated automated telemarketing calls? You can get the companies main office phone number and give them a quick call. They always seem surprised when they get a call, like how did you get this number.

Here is a little tip, some services will let you pay a smaller fee to do a one time search, I discovered that the difference you pay to become a yearly or lifetime member is worth the price difference. Once you find out the sort of info you can dig up on someone you will find yourself running searches on friends, family, co-workers and maybe even your employer.
